Quantitative super-resolution imaging methods

Super-resolution imaging is powerful, but still a new method. We are working to make this method quantitative at the level needed to observe lipid-mediated heterogeneity in chemically fixed and live cells.





In fixed cells, we have identified probe pairs with minimal spectral artifacts for high sensitivity measurements. 






In live cells, we have developed analytical methods capable of detecting transient and/or weak interactions between proteins in cells undergoing signaling.
